HyFiSyn school & conference

We would like to invite you to the HyFiSyn school and conference, which will be held in Leuven, Belgium, on 13-14 and 15-16 September 2021, respectively.

The HyFiSyn school brings together leading experts and provides an overview of the field of composites. It is primarily aimed at junior researchers who want to learn more about the state-of-the-art in mechanical and functional properties of fibre-reinforced composites. The draft program for the school is already available at: https://www.hyfisyn.eu/school-conference/program. The HyFiSyn conference covers all aspects of mechanical and functional (self-healing, structural power composites, etc.) properties of composites, and is hence much broader than just fibre-hybrid composites. The conference is abstract-only with the submission deadline on the 20th of June.

We hope and will try to do our best to have the school and conference in-person if the Covid-19 restrictions allow it. This would make it one of the first in-person composites-oriented events in 1.5 years. In any case, we will offer the opportunity to attend the school and conference remotely. Online attendance of the school and conference will be for free, while in-person attendance will require a modest registration fee. We will make the decision for fully online vs. hybrid approach by the end of June 2021. If you want to register you interest, and be updated on this decision, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/VAPHUQ1Hp4dDCFVw9
